Whale Watching

What else to do with yourself on a cold winters day but head off into the Pacific Ocean on a big yacht to try and catch a glimpse of the Northern migration of the humpback whale.

We decided to avoid the big tourist boats with hundreds of people on, and go for the slightly more exclusive setting of 49' yacht with 10 other people.

The whales were slightly elusive but we did get to see a few tails, and lots of spurting. Plus, it was just nice to spend a few hours at sea on what was a perfect day, blue skies, not cold, and calm seas!
