Jess' Last Day - Home & Away

Apart from coming to see Ian and I, Jess' other reason for heading to Oz was to work on her tan during the LA winter. As she felt like she hadn't had enough beach time, we headed up North to Palm Beach to sit under the hole in the ozone layer for a few hours. Palm Beach is where 'Home & Away' is filmed, and despite no shooting taking place over Christmas, we still managed to get a few piccies of the surf club.
We took her out to the Manly Ocean Beach House for cocktails and dinner, and one last look at the beach.

Blue Mountains

Embarassingly, Ian and I had not been out to the mountains since we arrived. It's only a couple of hours away, and since our last visit in November 2004 was fairly fog bound, we didn't need much of a reason to head out there - but Jess was a good one! En route, we stopped off at Featherdale Wildlife Park so Jess could get up close to some Aussie natives. We had beautiful weather and got some magnificent views of the Three Sisters and beyond!

Boxing Day

As we've finally got some good weather, we went up to North Head to bask in it and watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race. Unfortunately, everyone else on the Northern Beaches plus a few tourists seem to have had the same idea! Anyway, we got to see a few big boats, Jess got a great view of the harbour, and Ian got to play with the new camera. And to finish off the day, Ian (& Jess) managed to squeeze in just a little extra fishing!

Christmas Day....

Thought we would post some pics of our christmas day. Of course we had to have a Barbie, and yes we did have shimps on it!

Hope you all have a great christmas day. Missing you all.

Love Ian, Laura & Taz
