My trip to LA

I'm posting this almost a year after the fact as I somehow managed to miss putting anything up here. Anyway, for my 30th, mum paid for me to fly over to LA where we both met up with Jess for a week. Had a great time staying in a wonderful location, exploring all the touristy stuff.
Also took a side trip for 24 hours and saw Vegas, went to Arizona, and flew over the Grand Canyon.

Sue & Sarah's Adventures

Well unfortunately I had to work (boo hiss work!), so Sue and Sarah decided to take themselves off down to Melbourne for a few days. Wish I could have gone with them but it certainly sounded like they had a great time.

They managed to take in the sights of Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road, Philip Island, and even the 12 Apostles by helicopter.

Another birthday party

Yes, I was milking my 30th birthday for all it was worth. The culmination of the week long celebration was a night out at Bungalow 8 in King St Wharf. It's a great bar, and my first time there since a previous occasion resulting in drunkeness, vague recollection of events, and the longest hunt for a taxi in human history. But that's another story!

Anyway, we were joined by a group of friends for one or two drinks (honest!) and even had another guest all the way from Manchester. Well really they were here for Mardi Gras but I'll claim them as my own anyway. A great night was had by all, and I managed to remember most of the night!
