1st Barbie of the Season

Yet another long weekend, this time for Labor Day. So what to do when the weather's good and you don't have to go to work the next day - bbq at the beach time! It was actually organised by a colleague of Ian's and turned out to be a pommy gathering with the odd token Aussie and Kiwi thrown in! What a nice way to spend a sunday afternoon.

Weekend in Jervis Bay

As George W. Bush was coming to town, the Aussie Government decided it would be a good idea to keep everyone out of the city, so they made it a public holiday! We decided it was about time we escaped Sydney and thought it would be nice to head south down to Jervis Bay. It's about 3 hours south of the city and a completely different place. It was also Taz's first doggy holiday and the first time he's had the chance to play on an ocean beach! We had a big house all to ourselves and spent the whole weekend walking, relaxing and fishing.
