A Sunny Day at Woy Woy Bay
After the excitement of Caleb's party, we needed something to chill us out. Luckily, along came the offer of lunch at a friend's family's weekender in Woy Woy Bay on the Central Coast. I had thought the descriptions of the place had been exaggerated, but on arrival we saw for ourselves they had not. A beautiful house, right on the waterfront looking out onto nothing but mountains and national parkland. Delicious food, good company, a beautiful setting, and a little trip around the bay on a boat - what more could you ask for on a Sunday afternoon. Apparently, the answer to that question is fishing. So that's exactly what the boys did!

Caleb's 2nd Birthday
When Caleb first arrived in Australia (with his parents in tow - airlines don't like unaccompanied 9 month old babies), he was barely able to crawl. What seems like only a short time later, he's running round, almost having conversations, and having tantrums like all the best 2 year olds do. In celebration of him managing to get another year older without his parents selling him to the gypsies, a gathering of other babies / toddlers (with their owners) was held on a lovely Saturday afternoon at Manly Dam. Whilst the water was still a little too cold for swimming, it was perfect weather for playing on swings and slides and smearing birthday cake around your face - the kids had fun too!

Fishing for sharks
After they almost got me in a feeding frenzy, I decided to take my revenge by fishing for some in open water! Manly Beach attracts lots of surfers during the day, which in turn attracts lots of sharks. So Paul and I thought we'd go try and catch one or two. Sure enough, after a few hours and lots of small fish, hooked a Port Jackson shark. Harmless to humans, but good fun to catch - especially as it caused Paul to run screaming from the water like the big girl he is!!!
