Jenolan Caves

While we were in the mountains, we ventured a little further than we'd been before and headed out to the Jenolan Caves. They were discovered in 1830, and they are still finding more. Lots of beautiful rock formations, stalagmites, helictites, underground rivers, and thousands of steps. Just to add to the pain in out legs from the previous day's bushwalking! Photos don't do the caves justice!!

Weekend in the Blue Mountains

As Debbie is over for a couple of weeks, we decided to take her out to the Blue Mountains for the weekend. We got a house right down near Echo Point, overlooking the Three Sisters. Did a spot of bushwalking with over 800 steps down into the valley - very sore legs the next day!!

Sculptures by the Sea

Every year, an public exhibition of scupltures is displayed on the coastal path between Bondi and Tamarama beaches. Debbie had just got off the plane and it was a beautiful day, so we joined the billions of other people shuffling along the path, trying to figure out what each sculpture was, as we'd been too mean to buy the brochure. Ian spent most of his time complaining about the crowds, and those disregarding the "please do not sit of this artwork"signs.
